YORK, PA – Paragon Engineering Services, Inc. is excited to announce that Christopher T. Sharp has joined the firm as an Electrical Designer.
In his new role, Mr. Sharp’s responsibilities include performing electrical engineering assignments by determining project design criteria, applicable building, and energy codes, and full building electrical systems design. Designs to include layouts for building systems generally consisting of building services, grounding systems, emergency systems, lighting, building power, fire alarm, and telecommunications systems.
Mr. Sharp is currently a part-time student pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and is expected to graduate in December 2023. Previously, he was a Lead Plant Operator and Maintenance Technician at a natural gas power generation plant. Earlier in his career, Mr. Sharp was a Commercial and Industrial Electrician for 18 years. During this time, he earned his Journeyperson Certification in 2007 and worked as a Facilities Electrical Specialist, Planner and Project Manager as well as an Electrical Test Technician. In addition, Mr. Sharp has many years of experience as a Level 3 Thermographer.
Pete Beddia, President of Paragon Engineering Services, believes that Mr. Sharp’s extensive experience in the industry will be an asset to the team at Paragon. Mr. Beddia said, “I am excited to welcome Chris to the Paragon family as we continue to grow and strengthen our team.”
In his free time, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, serving as a scout leader and martial arts instructor, playing the guitar as well as the bass guitar, riding his motorcycle and operating a ham radio.
